The 'TRE' you speak of (timing retard eliminator) is a small electronic device aimed at fuel injected bikes to lower emissions in first & second gears. Your bike is a carbed model, so this device is not applicable to you.

Hi Dave, mine is a 2013 c800 what is a tre, what does it do and is it worth fitting, if so where do I get one. I have looked around the forum but cant seem to find any definite answers. cheers

Just been looking and found the X-TRE mod dave did in this section, I think its the same thing but rarely back then he didn't do a write up

I made the diy TRE and its cock on, look at diy tre on here, real easy to make and about £15 job done
