| This may be a long winded question for something that's blindingly obvious, but I don't want to screw things up. I'm banging a pair of cheapo grips on the drag bars till I can decide what's going on there permanently " />. I'm leaving the standard grips on the original bars, just in case I ever want to swap back. I've picked up a throttle side so I have a throttle tube ready to use & have removed the standard foam grip (easier than expected). So what I'm left with is the throttle tube with the chrome boss which fits between the grip & throttle housing / switch gear assembly. Does anyone know if / how this is removed? It looks like it's actually a covering over the end of the tube as opposed to a solid piece. I don't want to go digging at it in case I manage to destroy the tube, but I'm sure it must come off - I assume that not all replacement grips come with throttle connections & someone must have fitted a pair of grips that use the original throttle tube. Alternatively, has anyone a spare / redundant clutch side grip they could sell me so I can rob the boss off that side to use to make both sides match. Any advice / pointers welcome - thanks | |

| Pissing hell, sorry Dave. I feel like you've been ignored on this one, glad you have sorted it. | |

| No problems at all - I don't expect an answer to all queries. If anyone's interested, the chrome ring is plastic & the rubber grip section is not fitted to it. I found the best way to remove the grips was to push a thin screwdriver between it & the bars, spray some WD40 & leave it for a while | |
