| did the first mod to my bike today after I got it home (VZ800, 2009) stock exhaust was very quite so I got out my trusty 8mm length of thread with a sharpened end and knocked it down the exhaust with a club hammer went through what felt like two plates took it out started up the bike sounded a little better but still very quite and lacked any sort of deeper sound so I went strait on to a 16mm (I think? it's big!!) metal rod got out my little angle grinder and sharpened up the end then knocked that through with my friendly persuader (club hammer) did the job bike now has a deeper sound still pretty quite so should keep everyone happy in fact the bike I just got rid of was much louder have yet to take it out since doing it coz it started to pee down with rain so will get out tomorrow and see what it sounds like going along | |

| Congratulations with the new bike Drill four 10-12mm holes in each end baffle, and you'll get a much nicer sound without it being too loud. My friend is very happy with his bike after this mod. | |

| what's the third thing I hit after the two plates then? lol, yep it sounds better will check it out tomorrow. was maybe thinking of that Kim but then you can tell it's been tampered with I like it looking stock that way if you sell the bike at a later date they will look like stock pipes that nobody has messed with I may possibly knock an even bigger metal rod through not that I will be able to go a lot bigger lol once I have the money I will get after market pipes for the bike but for now it should do the job | |

It's the catalytic converter. If you use a flashlight you should be able to see the honeycomb structure. | |

| after riding my bike a bit more yes I did like it sounded a lot better than stock but still needed a bit of adjustment so I got hold of another bit of metal rod which was bigger deffo 20mm (maybe 22mm) this one is big ,sharpened up the end and knocked it down each pipe sound is deeper will give it a ride later and test it out | |

| tested the bike last night and today, it now sounds more like a cruiser still would not upset anyone but has a much nicer sound than stock would recommend 20mm down the pipes and four 10mm holes in the end to anyone who would like a little more sound and a deeper tone to there stock exhaust | |
