| I'm trying to get inside the headlight shell In the handbook it shows 1 Remove the right and left bolts (done that) Unhook the hooks ( what hooks. I can't see any hooks) What should I be doing?
I am hoping to take a tapping off the "spare" socket in the headlight shell and feed a wire back to a relay and auxiliary fuse box so I can run satnav, phone charger, heated grips and a powerful horn.

| Hi Tom, just pull it at the bottom to release it and then lift it up and off the bucket, It's sort of hooked on a lip at the top. | |

| Simbo - I've tried that and it won't budge. If I try to twist the outer rim it does move a fraction and I have run some ACF50 in the joint to try to free it. But no joy. I have removed the plastic cover from underneath and put gaffer tape on the rim for extra grip. I can now nearly pull the bike along but the rim will not pull off from the lower edge of the shell. | |

| I've just done mine to double check? remove phillips screw from either side then twist and pull the rim and it lifts off the lip at the top, there's little lips around the side area too but they're probably to stop it falling off if the screws come out whilst riding. | |

| Like Sim says but I use my pen knife or a small screwdriver to flick it off Tom. | |

| I still can't get it to budge. If I wiggle it it only moves a couple of thou but at least that shows it is not "stuck". I will have to take it back to the dealer and ask their workshop to shift it. Bahh! I hate it when I can't do stuff like this. | |

| Ha! HA! BLOODY HA!
Viagra and a Hammer ( I am not an elderly Ripper)
What I discovered:
The shell is plastic and so is the outer rim ( this is ok as it's lighter than steel and won't go rusty)
I put a piece of stiff plastic into the gap between the glass's bezel and the outer rim and levered it a little. Success.
In short I had it off this afternoon.

| I don't know nothing about disassenble the C800 K14, I have the K7 and it is easy to do it I only recommend you to connect the relay to the battery in case of high load... otherwise you can burn the Aux Wires of the Headlight For the Navigator, USB connector or something with low load is ok!! Don't need the relay, only a 5 Amps fuse and connect directly to the terminal In fact, I remove the original terminal on the headlamp and installed one electric of this kind for easily connection | |

| Hope I'm not being too picky but the Suzuki year id. after 2009 (K9) swaps to index letter "L" Hence: 2010 = L0 2011 = L1 2012 = L2 2013 = L3 2014 = L4 etc.
Quite why they did this I know not but it isn't "Roman Numerals".

| I think their idea is to change it every 10 years so as to only use one letter and one digit.
Maybe for 2020 they change it to "M" Hmmmm how about an M0M800. That won't be confusing !!!!
