| So after much searching I'm a little sad to say that there isn't much options for "3" wire aftermarket signals (if any). would like to change the OEM signals into something cooler but only options are 2 wire...meaning I loose the Running lights in the front. (though not required here in Canada, it's still nice to have) So I think I've come up with an alternative. Swap signals out with aftermarket (2 wire so only function they have is signals) Instal lighted grips (these are the new marker lights) And just because I like a challenge... I'm going to install a couple relays and diode so that the grips will also function with the signal lights... There's a couple ways of doing this and the most common is having the earth of the grip lights feeding back into the earth of the signals.. this is how they used to do it in the 70's but I don't like backfeed... so here's the LINKY I'll be following. Basically it isolates the circuits from each other and allows the grips to flash in sync with the blinkers.. now giving me 360 view to others when signals are on.. and markers when cruising at night...*Side note... other mods going to be adding...Painting Rims black, Levers, decal, and Mirrors | |

| I like them a lot... specially since the OEM front markers don't extend the length of the bike.. had a couple close calls with Cage drivers not realizing how far out the bars go.
Also have any of you gone aftermarket on the front signals.. having a pain of a time trying to find 46mm signal relocators.. found 35, 41, & 49mm.. | |

| Just a quick update.. haven't gotten to the original Mods... got side tracked and began to clean up some of the wiring and other projects.. but for the turn signal handle grips going to use this set up. Basically what will happen is when I turn on the blinkers the signal from that will turn on the front and rear blinkers and turn off the handle grip markers. making them flash alternating. (Front & rear on - handle off, Front and rear off - Handle on) This will also utilize my handle grip lights as marker lights. | |
