Vs800 generator cover help

Hi, I need a new generator cover for my 95/96 vs800 and was wandering if you could tell me what the differences are between the one with the Allen key in the middle and the one with the big screwdriver slot in the middle? 

Mine has the big screwdriver slot and I have one with the Allen key but don't want to strip it all down if it won't fit. 

Are they interchangeable at all?

Should be ok, the allen socket and flat head screwdriver socket are only covers/plugs for turning the crank over, if it's the same shape cover? I can't see why it won't fit.

Yeah that's kinda what I thought but remember hearing something about there being some differences. 

Maybe the generator?

If you flick through the various VS years on CMS they all seem the same part number for the generator cover.
