| Light up the air box For this modification I used a set of "super bright" led's from Maplins This is what they look like in position, very small However very bright For the electrical installation I cut the wires to the required length and wired them in to a small female socket & glued it in place, where the snorkel was Now I have gone to the other end of the installation and connected the wires into the side lights using a block connecter (I may change this) I always worry about heat on any wires I install so this is how I routed the wires. From the headlight I went behind the neck cover and then under the tank, however I did use a secondary plastic tube to put the wires in as an extra guard against heat. I used a coat hanger wire to direct the tube under the tank to the desired position above the frame before sliding the wires down it Next I ran the wires inside the protective heat wrap used to protect the wires that normally run to the air box & then connected the other electrical connector for my new led's OK now to the air box cover, here we are as standard First things first, to protect the cover we need to mask it up. Then I cut the holes using a #57 hinge saw that you can see in the picture on the right Now that the holes are cut I re-use the wire gauze that I cut off of the rear of the original filter & then cut and glued it in to position And there we have it, all done Lights off Lights on

| Sound mod really looks good,is it advisable to put some sort of fuel controller to your bike, with making changes to the air system? Thanks for taking the time to show us all how it was done.Pat yourself on the back. | |

| Really like it! It looks a bit like an alienface.... I think yellow or red lights would look nice too. I also wonder if this is possible without fuel controller because it is a change in the air intake. | |

| Don't you usualy say that if you make any changes to the air intake that you need to have a remap or FI module fitted Mr Intruder Sir | |

| Yes Ido Crash and I stand by that but sometimes I would rather other people express their opinions as well, so that it doesn't become the Mr Intruder Show | |

| Good evening everyone, another excellent mod Dave, if anyone wants to do this mod and is concerned about it altering the airflow rate get hold of an old Lcd computer moniter screen, pull it to bits and inside you will find a lovely piece of plexiglass with a subtle marking on it that should give roughly the same effect as Daves wire mesh without altering the airflow, just cut and trim to size, use a good double bond glue and that should do it, regards to all ride safe, regards Doc Cox | |
