| Just got the bike out to clean it ready for a group ride to Boston Bike Night and its pissing oil out of one of the fork seals, pulled the gator up and that split as well. What make have you used and are they ok, I can get Suzuki ones but will take a few days, or are any ok from ebay etc. I need to get them ordered as soon as possible to get her back on the road. | |

| My buddy Steve used some fork seals from Pyramid parts & they came with 'lubricant' - did the job nicely. To dissemble/reassemble the fork legs we made a tool to hold the top of the piston using some large metric nuts on a length of threaded rod (All obtained from a local hardware store). Be careful - there is a copper washer on the bolt holding the bottom of the fork piston - don't loose it or you might get a leak there ! Also worth making some form of protective sleeve from thin poly sheet ore similar to protect the seal as you slide it down the fork-tube. (Prevents any premature damage to the seal if there is any pitting on the fork tubes) Hope you get sorted Andrew Cheers .... Yam | |
