| You beat me to the link :) This is the company I bought from. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Black-Motorcycle-Trunk-W-Taillight-for-Harley-Honda-Yamaha-Suzuki-Vulcan-Cruiser-/360546665833?hash=item53f2418569:m:m1Evc9mp2dm9tMn_CG1s5Yg
I did not change the backrest I must say the base plate I had to cut a bit so I could remove the box (a few screws) and then still get to the bolt that holds the rear seat in place should I need to remove it to get to battery or tank etc etc. Took a while to fiddle with to fit but no real hardship or work :) I just have to tackle the wiring now so I can get the stop light to work. The clear lens have small clear bulbs, I have bought orange ones so I can wire up the indicators. I just want to do it so I can remove the box and unplug the electrics, not sure which way of doing it yet.

| I suggest you extend to the wiring under the main seat as it's easier, LOADS, than piddling around underneath the mudguard etc... You can always make the breakaway connector sit just under the pillion seat so you can pull it apart & it wont dangle out much, if at all!
Ordered one of the boxes so we'll see how it goes?

| Opened my parcel from the supplier yesterday & was pleasantly surprised at the quality for the price! Couple of things I may look at though is the wiring as it looks very fine wire to me but I'll probably cover it with some split heat shrink or similar after I've lengthened it a little as it seems to be tight across the corners & the loom to the bike will be sorted as well so it can be a quick split wiring loom for the times it has to come off & I have some waterproof quick disconnectors that I bought some months ago. The key hole cover flap is a bit tacky as well but that's down to price I suppose? Opinion overall is that for the price it will do the job that it's designed for admirably with a bit of personal improvements from my point of view. | |
