Bluesman returns!

Put down a deposit on a C800 today over 3 years since I got rid of my 2010! Was one of the first members in the first few days of this forum's history. Never really been away but had a few bikes since. Been fancying a cruiser to accompany my V-Strom for a while now. Tried to buy a new one a few weeks ago but it was red. Not quite sure of the new all black - still hankering after a chrome and black.....soooo...found a 2013 with under 2000 miles in new condition. Good price so went for it today. Not the best time of year but the bike was there so there you are. Supposed to have it on Saturday but rain is forecast so maybe I can arrange delivery. Will be serviced by the dealer and new battery. Watch this space!

Thanks for the good wishes. I shall try to keep this one a bit cleaner than the last! Won't be putting on an aftermarket exhaust this time but I still have the bi-metal hole saw so a debaffle will be on the cards. Won't be able to make France unfortunately as I am unable to get away overnight for the foreseeable future. Looking forward to tinkering with my old sissy bar and riding when the roads are dry. I managed 10k miles in 2 years on the last Intruder although I shall mainly ride my V-Strom. The Intruder remains unchanged - a classic in its own time. I just had to get another. They say you don't know what you've got until it's gone!

sounds good pic's on getting it best time of year to buy bikes there normally cheaper  hope you got a bargain

I don't mind a bit of banter John  I prefer a lot!  but I don't mind a bit    They say I've gone to the 'dark side' but I still have a Suzuki in the garage! come to think of it? Arrived today! Got them to deliver in the van because of the awful weather. Still got a bit wet wheeling in the garage but nice and dry now. Been over with a tooth comb and really is as new and only 1700 miles. No handbook so I'll chase them up tomorrow. First jobs will be fitting my HH sissy bar I kept and then set to work on the exhausts. Oh what fun!  Probably won't be able to ride for a week cos of all the bloody rain forecast.  . Will make a video when all the bits are on and it doesn't sound like a sewing machine any more!

I'd forgotten how nice Intruders look under bright lights!
