| Hi Dave, I've no idea to be honest? I've sent John (Veemax) a PM in the hope he gets an email alert to reply to your question. | |

| I just followed veemaxs stage 3. Definitely an improvement. Still hunting for the gains he saw, but it's coming along. | |

| Yay testing testing 1 2 3 yip it looks like I can post again. Good to hear, Wayne , while it won't rip your head orf with gee's , it should at least have put back what they stole from us with those weird throttling tubes in the OEM filters. Don't suppose you made any measurements dyno / elapsed time testing etc ? | |

| Veemax! They are looking for you at the mig forum! I personally would love your input. It's very nice to meet you, and thank you for your hard work. I'm running your set up almost exactly. I'm state side on the coast (Massachusetts) 5dp7-3rd notch nothing over the clip 145/147.5 f/r -but it doesn't have the punch you wrote about. I've got no $ for dyno runs, but I'm willing to work and hunt for the right a/f mix. | |

| " /> Maybe 6 NM and 6 bhp is not THAT exciting but the curves show a fat gain 4 to 6 thousand rpm , my bike feels perky maybe because about 20 kilograms went into the "Slow Box " hahahahha. | |

| ... I should not confuse anyone but shhhhh ...... I also dialed in 3 deg timing advance ....but my dyno guy says ignition advance will NOT make magic fall from the sky ! I did the same trickery on a 1200 Bandit once , got 15 bhp for free by opening the airbox and rejetting and advancing, fiddling with stock needle height , but a Bandit was never deliberately restricted like the Marauder was ! The Marauder was sabotaged ! They took all the luverly bhp of the 800 Intruder/S50 and put a clothes peg over its nostrils ! My original mission was to put back the stolen power. If I really, REALLY wanted a hotrod Marauder I'd put in VX800 cams and bump the compression to 12:1 , but then it would ride like a pig under 3000rpm. Maybe my pics give and impression of a snorting beast , perhaps it's just that I'm an accomplished show-off , making 54 bhp look much more impressive than the mild engine it still is ... | |
