vz800 no tick over on rear cylinder?

hi...recently bought a 1997 vz800 that I'm looking forward to riding...has been sat for a time but low milage(9000)..have changed carbs and plugs due to not running properly on rear cylinder...has spark,has fuel but still won't tick over on rear cylinder..changed carbs for a good set and still the same..any ideas?..has me a bit baffled :(

when you fitted new carbs did you balance them,cos if there way out it wont idle or idle like a bag of hammers while its dragging a cylinder

If its the same as my VX800, if you alter the idle knob on the rear carb it will throw the balance out, they are a real pain, you have to pretty much re-sync them every time you make an idle adjustment!!!
