front wheel

just back in from shed trying to get front wheel off problem the pinch bolt none of my sockets will fit on think it a 12mm tried 10 11 n 12mm but its  very shallow heres the thing is this a cover of some sort proper head underneath?

I think there's usually a chrome cap on there, has the front come off and left the rear part inside the head? I'm pretty sure it's a 12mm allen bolt Ardie.

has come off in wee pieces like egg shell still cant see if its allen key or not but there does seem to be what is starting to look like a bolt, not sure tho as not enough of the crap has come off yet.will get back at it tomorrow in daylight.thanks sim

yes sim got it off today its 8mm allen bolt new tyre on tomorrow the axle is the 12mm thanks again sim
