| After a couple of months of going round in circles, I have finally done it, I've ordered a new top box. I have a Givi Monolock plate on the bike and a small 28'ish litre top box which is ok but will only take my helmet (at a push now that I have an intercom mounted on it), so I thought I would get a bigger one to fit the existing plate. But then again, I could change the plate and go for a Monokey system which is stronger etc or I could get a different make such as Shad who also make some decent kit as well. I liked the idea of the Monokey, but to get the box and plate was going to be over £200 and I cannot justify it as I have just ordered a new Roller Garage Door. The Shad would have been about £150 but then I would not be able to use my small topbox if I wanted to. So I stuck to the original plan and got another Monolock. Decisions, decisions!! Givi or Kappa??? I looked at them both and decided I liked the look of the Givi the best, the contenders were: The Givi E470 Simply III Tech The Givi B47 Blade Tech The Kappa K46 Tech And the Kappa K47 Manta Tech I decided on the Givi B47 Blade in the end, most places have it listed for between £140 - £150 but I ended up ordering it from Spain from a company called Motocard (who seem to have a decent feedback from what I have seen) for £110.01 delivered, I have now just to wait for it to turn up. | |

I've just been looking at the Givi site and the Mononkey is rated at 10KG and the Monolock is 3KG I've used both kinds and wouldn't say the Monokey was any better with the way it fixes to the plate or the materials more substantial? I've definitely had more than 3KG in the E370 on numerous occasions without any problems at all. | |

| I've never understood the weight limits between the box's either, I suppose it could be more to do with the mounting brackets/frame that are fitted to the bike than the actual box itself. | |
