| Hello from across the pond! I'm Matthew and live about 30 minutes outside Washington DC, USA. Seems like we don't have any good Intruder forums over here, I hope you don't mind me joining. I've been working on cars and bikes for many years now and up until my son was born daily drove my Yamaha FZ6R in everything except snow and heavy rain. Now I drive a car with a baby seat mostly.... Anyway, I got a 2000 VS800 Suzuki Intruder for $200! What a steal! Most of what it needs is TLC in the way of labor I think. It's been sitting for 3 years. I got an hour to myself yesterday and dug into it. The battery I ordered was the wrong size (and what a b!tch to get to that battery!!) so I drained what looked like an amber ale out of the gas tank, cleaned out the actual rat nest I found, and located some wires that look to have been chewed on. The bike DEFINITELY needs tires but I think the rest is going to be elbow grease. Think I should shoot some penetrating oil into the spark plug holes or think the engine shouldn't be locked up? I'm looking forward to having some fun with this bike! Matthew | |

| What a bargain - that's less than £150 !!!! Have fun getting it back on the road - although it doesn't sound like it needs too much doing to it. | |
