| Finally got around to fitting the two electrical supply sockets on my Intruder. The one at the front powers the GPS and is wired via the ignition using the auxiliary socket that can be found in the headlight bowl. It is a single USB socket 12volt in, 5 volt out at 1 amp. This has a 1 amp fuse. The one at the rear is wired direct to the battery and can be used for charging the battery, powering up my tyre inflator or even charging my phone (in the n/s saddlebag. It is a conventional ciggy lighter socket 12 volt in, 12 volt out. This has a 10 amp fuse. The brackets that come with these sockets are thin painted steel which I guess will rust in no time. For this reason I have made two custom brackets out of 'T6' aluminium. Fabricated and polished, of course. A few photos which show the progress. Front unit fitted. Rear unit fitted. | |

| My lighter socket attaches to the Optimate connector, it's housed in the left saddle bag as well in case I need it & I have an additional handlebar mounted socket & USB(2 of) unit as well just in case for phone etc... Good installation on yours Gary | |
