| Hi All
Am thinking of fitting the Renegade 38 mm crash bars from Custom Cruisers - they tell me they will fit without any drilling. Has anyone any experience of these - are they easy to fit ? Any advice would be appreciated !
Thanks | |

| I bought similar for my 2015 m800 - and they said the same. I had to grind a radius on the bottom bracket to clear the footplate ribs. Also need to use spacers (5mm) for the top brackets but the bars came with a selection. Then found the angle on the bottom brackets was a little too great but a couple of thumps of a lump hammer closed them in. I'm certainly no mech expert but it was no problem. https://imgur.com/a/1o7Kl Custom Cruisers always seem to sell quality stuff, but I found their customer service lacking a little. Other's on the forum have never had a problem. Be interested to know what you experience. | |

| Unbelievably, still waiting for these crash bars !!!!!!!!!!! When Custom Cruisers do deign to reply to my emails ( which isn't often ) they say they are still awaiting delivery. The good news is they haven't taken the money from my bank account yet. Will give them one last chance before I cancel order. Chrome Cruisers of Bournemouth have a set in stock at about £25 cheaper, but they are 62mm instead of 68m. They say they will deliver in one day......but so did Custom Cruisers !! | |

| Sounds like they're waiting for the £ to be stronger against the $ before they order them from the States Metric Cruisers in Bournemouth are good! they won't let you down if you go for the 32mm ones? | |

| Custom Cruisers rang me today (a first !) and said they can't now get the original bars, but offered me some smaller 32mm bars for the same price !! Told them that I was bowled over by their generosity and magnificent customer service and cancelled the order. Will order the 32mm bars from Chrome Cruisers. | |

Good Customer Service is alive and well but not living in Alfreton! How in Gods name can you run a business with service like that? Oh wait I work for a Bank - we're the experts! We do it to millions of customers a year and charge them for the privilege. Shame you had to wait so long for the inevitable! I'm sure you'll get better service from Chrome Cruisers.

| Custom Cruiser have no customer service reason being they think they are doing you a favour by allowing you to order from them, if you get your order or not is debateable. Try going to the shop if you really want to have the full bad customer service. | |

And yet I've phoned them & visited the shop in Alfreton on many occasions - I've always found them to be extremely helpful - to the point of actually talking me out of buying something from them once (long story, but they were right !!). A few times they've ordered stuff in for me & it's always been there within a week - & at a much better price than elsewhere. Always offer me a (free) cup of coffee & have a chat with me. Bizarre, it's like we're talking about another Custom Cruisers in a parallel universe !!!!

| I drove over to Custom Cruise last year and bought Sissybar, backrest and saddle bags from them. Service was great, price OK - no issues. Tried later in the year online and nothing but problems and the poorest services I've ever encountered (apart from Everest Double Glazing, but that's another story). Good Day.....Bad Days ... we all have em, even business's. (still would never go back to them though). | |

| Must admit, I've never bought online. Usually phone them & then ride up there to collect | |

| I'm with Dave on this one as I've not had any problems personally dealing with them direct as like Dave I only live a short distance away. | |

| Sounds like they only look after customers who walk in off the street.
Frankly if they cant be arsed with long distance customers, they should have never set up a website and online shop!
Far too easy fir any dickhead one man band to do that these days!

| Called in the shop over in Alfreton once looking for a screen for my 800 and their helpfulness was 1st class! I even explained I was only looking as I'd gone on the bandit yet they brought numerous screens out for me to compare John had terrible service via their site but he is rather tetchy and a bit vague when describing what he wants | |
