I took my 2002 Intruder VS800 for a long haul this morning and noticed a whining noise in 4&5 gear. Mainly during acceleration. Any ideas? Should I be concerned?

I'd be concerned if I had the same noises ace, I d be checking the Oil in the engine (which is combined with transmission) and final drive as first port of call, then take it from there and report back.
