I've had my M800 2010 for around a month, have had no problems at all. Nice ride yesterday, no problems

Washed and polished the bike today and now it wont start, I'm getting the 'chec' light when turning the ignition. The usual sound when turning the key isnt happening, getting nothing but this chec light flashing up

Have I got water where I shouldnt have done / whats the fix?

Any help much appreciated !

Cheers

Hi luke and welcome to the forum, please try to ask questions in the relevant section as this is just the introduction page. Kill switch on right hand cluster or the bike is in gear with the side stand down are the first things I'd check.

Apologies, and managed to sort it. Looks like there was too much moisture on the wires under the front panel - gave it a good wipe with a dry cloth and it seems to have sorted it. Sorry again!

Its a shame I only looked up for this forum when I had a problem so i'll start fresh -

Hey all, happy to be here. just got my first cruiser being the M800. Fell in love with the bike instantly. Live just outside York

Welcome on board Luke - good to hear it was a simple fix.  Other alternative - don't bother washing it - this clean bike concept is overrated

Hi Luke,
Welcome to the font of knowledge, just ask the question someone will have the answer.
What part of York do you live in?
