| Maybe originals are no longer available, and aftermarket doesn't support the bike. My son has an 85 Honda VF700. The rear mono-shock went bad. The very last factory shock in the US sold for more than $700, and there is no aftermarket option. A popular mod is to take an F2 shock and modify it. The one we used has a remote reservoir like the one above. It may look wrong, but has adjustments for the valving.
