newbie here after a little advice on my new bike

hi everyone, i bought a vl800 velusia today and noticed it popping on decelleration, after a google search im led to believe that it is probably the pair valve at fault.

The pair system is designed to reduce popping under rich condition when decelerating. If you have continual popping, I'd look into having the carburetors tuned.
