| Bought the new Busa today, after all! It will be my only bike. Hope to enjoy putting on a few hundred miles this summer. Delivery on Monday - can't wait! | |

I ride every day. Enjoyed ownership for the first hundred rides. Not quite so much for the second hundred. Fantastic bike and would not have missed the experience for the world! The power and sheer ease of the Busa has got hold. I'm not a hooligan but I do like to overtake. Hey ho - you're only young once!

| Thanks for the nice comments. They say the bike will do 120 in 1st gear . Not much chance of that on the road but 0-60 in 2.6 seconds is quite useful when getting round a few vehicles. Most sports bikes are a bit small for a guy with long legs like me but the Busa is physically quite a big bike. The new Gen 3 which is in the pipeline will probably have traction control modes. I'm not terribly keen on bikes which override my judgement so this last of the manual fast bikes will do me fine! Handling is pretty good too for a heavy machine - the bike leans in easily and it is very easy to remove strips on the rear tyre. As with most Suzuki bikes, top features come at a bargain price - easily half the bikes I have ever owned have been Suzies! I've just got back from Thunder Road where the is one of the very last black M800's new - smoother than a Harley (albeit not v.powerful) and cheap as chips, it's the last of the cruiser bargains waiting to be snapped up. If I had the spare cash I'd I'd seriously think about one. For the moment my very early (2 years!) 70th present to myself will have the privilege of furnishing my smile for a while! | |

| Nice peice of kit that John...It'd scare me shitless though. I'm quite happy to measure my 0 - 60mph using only the minute finger on a watch! | |

Bikes are only as fast as your right hand Err what's the penalty for 185 mph? Transportation to the colonies I suspect . Actually I don't think I'll go much faster than I did on my C800, the only difference being I had the throttle fully open! Too many unmarked cars around for me. However, a trip to Germany would be tempting.

Strangely enough, no! I removed the end baffles which are very puny but they are still quieter than the Delkevics I had on the K8. Looking down the cans, I see why - there is an internal baffle in the link pipe, very easy to modify opening up the aperture quite a lot. So I think a hacksaw might come in handy soon! They are beautifully made mufflers but whether they are worth £1k is doubtful. To my mind a fast bike needs sound which matches the power.
