| 2001 to 2004 were 'carbed' so they'd require a few parts swapping over,. 2005 to 2008 were 'fuel injected' but with less wiring for sensors than later models and only had 2 spark plugs,, 2009 to 'present day' all should be fine and probably a straight swap, there might be a couple of things updated due to EU regulations? But nothing that can't be salvaged from your existing 16 engine. | |

| M800 from 2009 to present day should be the same too. (apart from black casings) | |

| Guys I have found a 2006 VL 800 Volusia complete bike, how much extra work would be needed to put this engine in to my bike ?
Thanks | |

| The only thing I'd watch for is emissions. That 2006 motor complete will not make 2016 emissions standards so will be an MOT fail in a year or so, but I guess you could keep the engine but swap over all the ancillaries from your present engine. | |

| How many miles on the engine? Running low on oil?
A 2016 plate is so new, I’m wondering what’s wrong and how it happened. | |
