Joined up a while ago but first post here.

Hello to all from USA. I "joined" up quite some time ago but this is my first post.  At first, some health issues kept me from riding my bike and then my son had an accident on my bike. The bike was totaled but he got away with a 10 inch or so long  gash on his left fore-arm and a terrible brush burn on his right him just above his bum. He is doing fine though. He was extremely lucky. It scared him a bit but I am sure that the discovery of  camaraderie shown by bikers will not keep him off bikes for long. 

I am bike-less now but might get one of my health permits.

Ha ha. Skirmish is what my son calls it. The boy is a married man now but will always be boy to us.  Thanks bagtoracer and to everyone for good wishes and the welcome. 
He was thrown off the bike,  rolled in air a few times---all he remembers sky and earth roll past his field of view before he landed in the median between the north and southbound highways. One of the drivers was an emergency, shock and trauma doctor, who attended to him before the ambulance arrived. Kindness of strangers often makes such a difference in our lives.  Nowhere in my life have seen as much kindness from strangers as among bikers.
