Hi,

Just bought a Suzuki VL800 Intruder/Boulevard 2009 model, a US import. Bit of a project for me. I've got a few questions if anyone could help.

It needs a front mudguard, would a 2014 mudguard fit a 2009 model?
How much anti freeze does it take, need to put new stuff in it. Whats the recommended oil and amount, preferably in litres.
What battery would you recommend for this bike?

Looking forward to your replies, thanks.

Hello and Hello from Glasgow 304308752 not sure about the mudguard, I do recommend you get an Haynes manual which will answer a lot of your questions, you can get em cheap off Ebay.  Hello from Glasgow 3498837457

wwweee, Yes the mudguard will fit exactly. You should open up a new question or search the forum notice board for other info or buy a manual or download the one here on the site!!!

Re the oil..... get a mirror on a stick so you can see the level in the little window, while holding your bike upright Hello from Glasgow 184121345 (assuming yours has the same little window mine did)

I have the 2009 vz800.
Mine takes 3.2 (or 3.1... 3 point something) litres of 10w40 oil. Never changed my anti-freeze (annual service job). Mudguard should fit. Think the only difference between years was shaft and exhaust sensors (but dont quote me on that)

If you're interested, I have a front and rear mudguard, seats and OEM sissy bar/luggage rack, stock exhaust and handlebars from a 2001 VL800 for sale. Any offers considered, as they're taking up space!
