Hmmm... Rear bottom end seized solid. Front bottom end 1mm knock. Reckon its been run with no oil.
Bottom end for a VZ800 anyone?

from the pics all the gearing etc inside looks like its never been used .

The bike has 16,000 miles on it, by the looks of it, and going by its MOT history, has had a very easy life. I'm still trying to work out why it seized. Oil pump and passages are good.

Going to strip the frame and enamel it. Got a bit of a budget going on now the crank has to be reground. I was hoping it was going to be a dropped valve or other top end failure, cheaper to fix. Should be a nice bike when finished (fingers crossed). I'm going to leave the passenger seat off. Missus will probably sulk, but I like the look.

Hope its not as bad as mine. I've sent my crank and rods to S.E.P in Kegworth because it was too scored to get away with just changing the shells. They quoted £180, which isn't too bad considering they are as rare as chickens teeth or £1275 for a new one.
Don't forget to take pics of your progress and what you find.

£180 sounds like a good price mate I might give them a call if needed yep I have taken a few pics of bike stripped down and engine out and on a bench lol I'm going on holiday next Friday though so not sure how much will get done for a while hopefully if I'm lucky me mate will carry on while I'm away hehe My Baby has arrived 3498837457

AT LAST! Waited a month for this. Now I can start the rebuild. I found a place to buy gearbox bearings at a fifth of the price of Suzuki. L.S. Engineering. Hope this helps someone.
