| Hello guys Happy to be a member of this awesome forum for us suzuki drivers. I have been testing on my own for some months now, trying to get the bike dialed in after rebuilding it. It seems to run ok now, but am lacking the lower rpm pull i used to have. It is much stronger higher up in the revs though. Org setup: Front carb - pilot 40, main 100, dynojet needle at third notch Rear carb - pilot 45, main 107,5, needle same as front Slashcut straight piped exhaust with some muffling in the end. Org airfilter and box New setup: Front carb - pilot 47,5, main 112,5, dynojet third notch Rear carb - pilot 52,5, main 120, dynojet same KN filters in standard box Same exhaust Both spark plugs are reading black around the edge, grey on the top. As written, the bike is running ok, but I feel its maybe a bit too rich on the pilots. Tried with 45 in front and 48 in the back, but was getting a higher/harder exhaust note from the pipes and an uneven throttle respons while cruising and just of idle (seems lean then). What are your thoughts on this one? Are the mains maybe contributing to the lower rpm pull. Should they be larger? I have jet sizes all the way to 140 laying around. | wow bike looks really nice love that headlamp crabs can be a very tricky things to get set up really well the exhaust being straight through might be playing a part in the set up as well have you taken your bike for a dyno run (rolling road) they should be able to set your bike up not sure how much that will cost you though | |
