| when i try to check my oil level i look in the little window by the brake pedal. unfortunatly the little sight glass is black. does this mean my oil is full ot the glass is dirty? it runs fine and the doesnt leak so what can i do short of draining it a refilling | |

| Sounds like the engine is over full & you can't see the proper level. If I were you it would be changed for new oil + a filter so you know exactly what the engine should be reading etc.....? | |

| Thank you Peter I have the next 2 days off so i will do that and also fix my choke cable as it is stuck in the off position | |

| Sounds like your VX is overfull of oil ...... ..... but I presume you are reading it with the bike on the main stand on level ground. As Peter says, if the oil is 'dirty looking' and you don't know when it was last changed (Time or mileage) then it would be wise to treat your bike to new engine oil & filter. | oil changed and choke cable fixed as well as bunch of sketchy electrical connections. This is one cool bike and i love it | |

| not a dumb question at all but no it was on the main stand just over full and dirty but thats all better now | |
