My vz800 1996 Marauder has a problem with the crankshaft..its knocking.
As Suzuki don't offer over sized shells?...so I am informed...how do I get round a scored crankshaft journals without forking out over a grand for a new crankshaft>?

Not sure if there may be 'pattern parts' offering oversized shells (As is common for car engines).

Have you got a place lined up for crank grinding ? .... if so would they know or be able to advise you of possible oversize shell suppliers ?

But if not it could be worth looking for a reasonable second hand engine unit - probably cheaper than a rebuild of your existing engine.

Had knocking problems with my 1999 Marauder and eventually managed to get the engine out and stripped down.  The crank needs replacing and I am trying to find one without paying a fortune.  Nothing currently on Ebay aside from parts in the USA.
