| First post, first Intruder 800
Greetings all from Liverpool UK. Got my first Intruder 800 last week and it constantly puts a smile on my face every time I start it up. I can sense ownership is going to be fun.
A little about me, my name's Dave, a mid 40's teenager, with a passion for motorbikes and rock music. I keep promising my kids I'll grow up one day but there has been very little evidence of this....... I live in hope.

| Nice bike Dave! Useful touring screen and rails for saddle bags. If you want those lovely looking pipes to sound a bit more throaty, there are some great tips for mods to be found on the forum search. Enjoy. | |

Thanks John, I'll have a look at the forum. I'm not sure if these are stock pipes or not but they do sound quite meaty already !

Thanks John, I'll have a look at the forum. I'm not sure if these are stock pipes or not but they do sound quite meaty already ! They are stockers but If the there are holes drilled around the end plate or the middle hole has been bashed through further than about a foot, they may have been modified. There are a couple of plates inside - an easy way to get more sound is to bash a sharpened pole (I used a crush ended wardrobe bar) through as far as the cat. Some drill a circle of smaller holes around the back plate but in my experience, this looks a bit diy! If you are happy with the sound already then no probs. The C800 on my Avatar had both pipes gutted with a lollipop inserted half way to restore back pressure. It sounded nice! A previous one had the middle knocked through - that sounded good too but not so loud. All sound recordings and how to's can be found searching.
