| Just a short post to introduce myself. Recently turned 60 and feel the need to scratch a lifelong itch to take a Direct Access Course and own a classic cruiser. I'll be honest, I haven't decided on exactly which brand I'll finally choose to ride but, after weeks of online research, the 800cc Boulevard ticks all the boxes. Any input, particularly on the debate about the suitability of bikes of this size for new riders, will be most appreciated. Thanks. | |

| Hi, I'm 67, Leeds, came back to bikes in 2001. Do your Direct Access first then get something about 350cc - 500cc to learn your road sense on. if you've ridden before and drive then ok to go for biggish bike like a cruiser. I ride a 2015 800 Intruder now. Good bike, low down weight, accelerates good enough, top speed does me ok for motorways, comfy seat, carries me & camping gear ok. | |
