hello from a new owner of a vz800

Hi.
just getting back into motorbikes after a few years lay off from them , previous bikes was a kwak and a couple of triumphs, and right just before the U.K. lockdown i was able to purchase a nice clean vz800 05 plate and have only been out once on a run to get some essentials and fill the tank up on her, and she ran so nice . 
Now all I need is this lockdown or the virus to go so I can get out in the sun and try my baby out on some nice tarmac.

The site is a lot quieter now, socially, from what it was a few years ago, but it is an absolute goldmine of information and chat about these bikes.   You will always find help and advice here.
Think we are all messing with our bikes in the garage at the moment, as is most people.

yeah only the one in my profile pic , i am spending some time on cleaning her , i hope to get out and get a few nice shots later on this week,

managed to get out on Saturday and take some pictures ( after spending a few hours and days cleaning and polishing)

That's a pretty blue, like you. I'm new here also. My 2003 VZ800 sat for a few years before I bought it. It only had 5,770 mile on it. Front carb had sludge built up on metering rod causing it to run rich on #2 cylinder. Cleaned that up and sprayed brake cleaner into every jet showing looking down into carb. It had cobra mufflers and a stage two kit installed already. Love the way it runs now! Just received my new tires to replace the dry-rot seventeen year old tires on it now. My bike is all black and chrome.

yes you need to get it out on the road and and give the bike a good run and get the tyres worn in.
