Hello Intruder club

Hey everyone, I'm returning back to riding after nearly 9 years away. I started riding when I was 16 on an Aprilia RS50, progressed to a Suzuki Marauder 125 when I turned 17. Passed my test on a Honda VFR400 NC30, Spent a few years riding a Triumph Speed 4, then went into a Super sports curve for a while starting with a Honda CBR600, then a Suzuki GSXR1000 K3. Then when I was 22 I started with some spinal issues which inevitably took me out of riding. Hey ho I'm now a few weeks short of 31 and back to full health albeit with more life baggage now, a divorce, a new fiancee and 3 kids. But more relevantly I am finally able to make a return back to doing what I love and getting on top of 2 wheels again. I am picking up my (new to me) 2016 VL C800 BOSS Intruder today. I joined this site a few days ago and have been precariously reading through literally years worth of other members journeys with these bikes and I am astonished at the level of support that other members of this club offer each other so I am hoping to join the mix and hopefully be able to offer something to this Intruder community. First thing I want to do with my new motorcycle is get her purring right. So on Sunday this week I will be performing a little minor surgery to her tailpipes. Never done mods on a cruiser before my experience has been with sports and most recently cars. However I feel after reading through all of your experiences I am up to the challenge. I think i know what sound I'm after so I know I want to go the debaffle route. However I have noticed on this site while there are a lot of different threads regarding exhaust mods and also vids on Youtube showing, drilled back plates, or pierced baffles etc I think i want to start by making an all in one progressive video. Showing step by step sound increments for the further and further exhaust mods. So hopefully i can help anyone else thinking of doing it decide how far they want to go before they start. They may like the sound of the pierced baffle step but the de baffle might be a step too far for them, so my video should help them decide that before they make a mod that they cannot change without cost. Anyways I've rambled on enough i'm only supposed to be introducing myself so....Hi I'm Zek I'm in the North West near Blackburn.
