| My dad passed along his 02 VZ800 (11k miles) to me since he no longer rides it. It's 18yrs old now and while runs, was stored under an awning so needs some TLC and general maintenance.... I've been riding for 20yrs and have owned an '00 SV650, '03 Hayabusa and '09 Hayabusa ever since up to a year ago when I sold my '09 to fund my Superlite SLC build. The cruiser scene is all new to me and excited to learn, maybe even more excited on a bike that isn't popular so I get to figure some stuff out as I go...IE retrofitting stuff.
Since I brought it home, it's been pressure washed and apart. Got new tires, new chain/sprockets, coolant, flush caliper, may as well do oil and general look over. Since had to take wheels off, may as well get them powdercoated along with bunch of other OEM parts. I enjoy plasti-dipping and have supplies on hand, so it'll also get a color change while it's apart. Once I can post, I plan to start a build thread so I can keep up with progress.

| I don't think my father knows the can of worms he opened by passing along his bike, wheels in my head have been turning. Not totally sure what direction the build will go, but I have a feeling it'll find it's own direction and style....that hopefully others can appreciate as well. | |

That'll have to happen too, 18yr old ones held up decent but do need new ones.
