New here, vz800 need help

Hello, i came here looking for Information on my bike. It was my dad's before he passed and I'm currently honing the cylinders. Want to put a big cam in it and some new valves and springs. Can anyone help me with part numbers or if the 97-04 cams and valves are interchangeable with the 07 boulevard m50 engines?
Or are the heads between the two interchangeable?
This is my first time approaching anything like this but I'm determined to get her running my spring.
