| Hi all, name is Andy, located in Teesside in the North East.
Been riding a long time and toying with the idea of a cruiser for a long time.
Finally took the plunge in November and bought a 2006 VN800 with 8k on the clock. I have only had 3 short rides on it up to now but will soon be out most weekends once the weather picks up a little.
Enjoy bike rallies and nice relaxed rides out with friends.
Owned a 96 CBR900RRT Fireblade for the past 11 years so the Intruder is a massive difference.
Currently making a shopping list of mods I would like to add to my Intruder.
Looking forward to getting to know the bike more and getting to know many members on my travels.
Regards and take it easy

| Hi Andy, Did the same last year, absolutely love my 2008 m800. I've had Crossers in the past and me scooters. Ordered a new tenere 700, should be in first week of April, but deffo wont get rid of my cruiser. Just love the no rush ride. Be good to have another like minded on board. Be lucky. J. | |

| Hello there Andy. I too am new to the 800 but certainly not new to biking.
I love V Twins and Shafties and mine came along at a perfect time. I had my Fazer and it is perhaps the most perfect bike that I have had as an all rounder, but my back and legs are suffering and then a mate told me about a semi-modified VX800 and when Isaw it, I was utterly shocked and horrified by teh looks, but when I sat on it... I knew it was mine.
I am suffering badly with my physical issues but this seems to be allowing me to ride just a little more, before I have to go back to my trike.
Which is just as well cos the trike is off the road and has been for almost 2 years.
But this VX is a nice compromiseof power for me, its certainly not like many of the Japanese bikes I have had, but its also no sloutch either.
My only issues have bneen caused by the guy who tried to modify it, and has done an awful job and so piece by piece I have had to do lots of work to it. Still got loads to do, but by the time I have finished it, I hope to have a great little bobber that I enjoy riding.
Anyway, I have made this all about me, so I will stop there. | |

| Hi Andy, I am also from Teesside and have a M800. I have replaced the Air filter with a blood groove Hyper charger and exhaust with a pair of shorties. Remote start tracker alarm and bobbered it. It would be good to have someone else around ths area to swap ideas and give a hand or help out with MODS. Welcome to the cruisers. | |
