| I agree with crash. And if it was painted or maybe just the bottom half, i think it would be even cooler |

Maybe get it Chromed or add some bling seriously though years ago our house hold had a car for the Mrs and kids and I had a Motorbike for pleasure but more importantly work and my top box was a life line. The stuff that poor old thing had to carry was shocking, at times I wouldn't be able to shut the top down because it would be carrying more stuff than it was designed for. For me it made life very functional where as without it I would have struggled as it would carry all my work stuff at the time.

| Spray it the same blue as your bike, or black and blue, and get some chrome look on the red bit, and it would be a real part of the bike, and totally individual. | |

I think your on to something there, I think that if it had a small amount of the blue that the bike is sprayed in, used on the top-box it would help with the continuity. The thing is the bike already has a lot of black anyway and addind a little blue could make the difference. However this could also end up looking tacky if not done right or the combination or what was done was not quiet the right look. maybe best just left alone, I can't decide for the best!

| If it were mine, I'd want to use it when I needed it, with a drawstring black bag around maybe to look like camping gear rather than a commuter's box. I would only use it for carrying rather than leave it on the bike empty, providing it detached quickly. I have detachable panniers which I only put on if I need to go shopping. Your bike is a beauty but we all need to bow to the god practicality from time to time, I agree. I went to Barry last year with a bloody great lump netted on the passenger seat (my other helmet) which I would gladly have stowed away in this tidy looking box! I quite like to see a bike stacked up with gear - sort of looks useful. Then again, it's nice to take all extras off sometime (eg passenger seat) and run with the cool stripped down look. Cars always look the same somehow but bikes can change with your mood. I'm rambling again - time for bed!! | |

| Hi Grob the rack came with the bike, you get a plate supplied with top boxes to attatch to the rack. This makes them quick release ie: locked to plate with a key,you undo the box with the key and take it off.(simples) | |

| I use my intruder purely as an 'eye candy' kind of ride, and I have a second touring bike for practical purposes. I don't think that means that the intruder can't be used more practically, and its such a great bike because its easily adaptable to suit individual needs. | |
