2001 Suzuki VL800 Cobra drag pipes

Hello! I am new here but have recently bought a 2001 Suzuki VL800. I am taking off the stock exhaust and replacing them with Cobra drag pipes. I have seen that sometimes the bike can lose a lot of power when doing so. Do I need to re-jet using the Cobra kit or will it be okay to ride without doing that?
