| Next mod is installing the BackOff brake light modulator. Here's the link to the site for further info BackOff This piece of gear was bought when I owned a Valkyrie Inte rstate a few years ago. I never did install it and completely forgot about it with the 'wing. With minimal rear lighting on the Boulevard, it's a guaranteed mod for me this spring. It' s the XP model and will be wired with the 5 flash/steady on option. | |

| Farmboy, I had the exact same modulator on my Yamaha Venture Royale. I want to put it on my Volusia, but don't know which wire to hook it to. It just needs to splice in to the brake light. Man that thing would really light up the rear end when the brake was on. Good luck. | |

| you'll find the brake switch and wire leading to the brake light under the seat, it's a white nylon connector. I needed to splice in to it to actuate the cruise control interrupt. I think I make reference to the brake switch/wire in the cruise control install. I didn't use it on my Valkyrie as the 4 soup can tail lights in the trunk were very in-your-face. The back of the 'wing is even more lit up. The 800 it is. | |

| Chuckles, I wired my cruise interrupt to the white wire leading in to the white connector under the seat. That wire is the power wire for the brake light but it wouldn't be too hard a deal to track the power wire back from the tailight. Just put your voltmeter on a wire and when you get power pressing or squeezing the brake(s), you're in! I'll post my attempt at the install and note problems -- if any -- when the weather gets warmer. | |
