| Hi Everyone, SHWB01, its my initials, I am Steve From Glasgow, I bought a Suzuki M800 and rode it from Glasgow to Southampton, Ferry to Bilbao and then down through to Gibraltar were I used the bike for daily commuting from Sabinillias Spain into Gibraltar, I have quite short legs and found the bike quite hardwork with Gear changes and breaking, I am going to try as suggested to get the seat remodelled to push me further forward, the bike has not really been used much in the last 3 years, however, I have another job in Gibraltar so will be making the Journey again soon. I am 54 and have ridden bikes since age 15. | |

| I must admit, my backside was aching and the last hundred miles of the trip to Gib was very uncomfortable with frequent stops. I never found the tank range a problem as by the time it was needing a fuel refill it was about time for a break anyway. I quite fancy a change of bike to a more convential riding position but what has a shaft drive (one of the main reasons I got an M800) bags of Torque and is a head turner for a resonable cost? Thanks "Scotland Warrior" for the invite, but I heading back out to Gibraltar on the 26th of Feb, and probably June return for the bike, or maybe get it shipped over. | |

| Welcome Steve, I also have a short leg problem ( well, the two outside ones anyway .. lol ). I've got a VL800 ( now C800 ) and I've got footboards fitted instead of footpegs, and it makes a difference. Might not be suitable on an M800 though ? Anyway mate | |

| I absolutley love the bike, I have some mates in Swindon, who are going to see if it is possible to engineer a solution. I think the running board is probably the best option and reduce the gear change linkage and re work the brake peddle. as well as have the seat re-worked, will make all the difference. | |
