| Hello all, first I would like to say I am new to Suzuki and to cruisers 1 week ago I got a vz800l1 2011 from George Wards Barnsley Yorkshire.
I was told that there was loads of after market parts out there. BUT sorry I am confused, I want to replace my exhaust's and I can only see ones to fit up to 2010.
Also I cannot see a custom screen for my bike.
Should I have got an earlier model or is it me being thick please help

| Virtually all of the earlier exhausts will fit the 2011 but ideally if you want to maintain the original ECU and Oxygen sensors you will need late model ones with bungs fitted for the sensors or you can buy pipes without the bungs and have them fitted by someone that can handle a drill and a welder.
http://www.cobrausa.com/exhaust_compare.php?make_id=4&make=Suzuki&model=M50 (09-09)&model_id=159
The first 2 will take the O2 sensors the rest won't.

| Hi Chris
If they will fit and you are interested, I'm selling a set of Jardine Rumblers?

| The reason you can only see stuff up to 2010 is simply because retailers have not updated their sites yet, it takes them ages. There have been no updates on the 2011 bike so you have no issues there. There are a couple of issues that need to be considered when buying exhausts but they are very small ones to do with the 02 sensor (lambda sensor) on some exhuasts. Some people will keep them fitted and some won't for various reasons to do with tuning but I won't try to go in to that because if the pro's and con's are not explained properly it can just confuse what is actually very simple, Mr Intruder will explain that in detail when he spots this thread I am sure.
Oh it may be a good idea to post a picture up in the showroom section if you are going to be requesting help finding parts for you bike, that way everyone will know exactly what shape bike you have as there are still some of the 2009 M's being sold new which is a differant shape.

I an currently compiling a thread that covers everything that you will need to know that is quite detailed with regards to exhausts, fuel, air filters & timing. so I personally won't respond to this right now but keep an eye out in this area for a "sticky" probably tomorrow.

| Both myself and Bluesman have done this before eventually opting for after-market pipes. I felt it let the bike breath a little more and smoothed it out slightly. | |

| Drilled pipes cost nothing (although you can't really undrill if you don't like them!) They sound better than stock, maybe a bit farty. One hole up the middle makes it deeper if you do the backplate ones as well. Problem is it really shows the you have modified your exhaust - that's why I moved on to aftermarket (that and the sound) If you just want a bit better sound it is a good way to go though. | |

| Chears martin i will have to text you as I cannot PM you back but I have seen your message, and thanks all for the advise on the hole drilling. I have spoken to the Suzuki dealer today he said that no changes to the engine took place when the zx800 was updated in 2011 so as long as the exhausts have 2 sensor holes they will fit ok, or if i get a set without a cat and dont use the sensors at all | |

| Martin has the exhaust got 2 (lambda sensor) bungs its so confusing I have been told that most will fit if they have one on each pipe ? | |

| Chris,
Mine has only one fitted so you would have to have the other pipe drilled to fit the other. Not a major job by any means
