| if i was to stud my seats would all the studs have to be inserted manually with seat cover off etc. or can you get some kind of contraption what will insert studs with cover still on seat.just an idea. | |

| The seat cover must come off to fit studs/spots. | |

| The seat covers are very easy to get off, you just pull the staples out but you will need a reasonably powerful stapler to re staple it though | |

| Cheers guys. I recovered my gsxr seat with some fancy cover, so i got the stapler back then. Does anyone know if the chrome studs rust over time. They are actually cheapish on eBay or should i try stainless ones. Trouble is once i start putting studs on my bike, ill possibly stud my saddlebags, back rest, riders back rest when i get one. But i do like the look it gives off that i have seen on other bikes. | |

| I would be worried that the chrome would be a very light covering over some cheap ill prepared base metal. We have seen so much (quality ) chrome parts turn to shit, that I personally would go for stainless if available. | |

| A good tip for you is to mark all round the seat cover whilst it is in place first, then when you take it off you have something to work on,without guessing were the studs are going. The studs I used when I done mine were from a punk shop off ebay, lasted ok,the only problem I had after a long period of time was, with the meterail our seat covers are made off, there were times when you could catch a stud getting on and off your bike and it would cause a small rip,as it fell off. | |
