Driving to pickup a 1990 VS 750 GL with 11K on the clock in found on Craigslist ($1500). I would welcome any thoughts or suggestions. Thanks. Jose

Greetings Jose, welcome to the site. That sounds like a reasonable price for 11K to me. Not many miles for a 1990, do you have any other details? Has it been off the road for a while?

Welcome Hogspiner $1500 ain't a lot of money but its still a fair price for a 22 year old bike. So I would be expecting her to be in very good gondition all around

take the bar ends off and keep them somewere safe or maybe glue them back in place mine fell off about an hour and a half after i got my vs750 1991 while i was takeing it out on a test run to see what shape the bike was in (engine gears handling so on ) this seems to be a problem on this model of bike also get rid off the tyres if they are the stock ones (i think the stock tyres are bridgstone of the top my head) if you have some other tyres on your bike wait till they need replacing then put avon venoms on these are the nuts on a vs750 the grip and handleing are great once you get a set on your bike i dont think you will use anything else plenty off other stuff but for now
