Hi all, just got a vl800 k4 2weeks ago, enjoying the new bike,  pity it`s getting colder, still a few weeks b4 the snow.

Is there still the old 'problem' that a Registration Number that has been previously allocated to a car cannot be used on a bike, whilst a bike one can be transferred to any vehicle .... or did all that nonesence stop when DVLA took on the sale of plates ?

This was an issue when I looked into it in the past - but that was probably 30 years ago & my desire to have such a plate has waned since then.

This would of course not apply if it is a DVLA generated 'cherished number' that is 'available' but has not been allocated.
