| Finally got off my arse and figured out this Photobucket thing! This is one of the pics from the advert I answered to buy my bike, so I figured I'd use it to test my posting capabilities. Wanted to post some pics of the center stand I just made in my garage today in the aftermarket areas, so I thought I'd test the photo thing out first, so everyone could see why I became an Suzuki800 member in the firsrt place. | |

| Thanks guys. We looked at a lot of bikes when we started shopping around, and luckily this one showed up, (searching on Craigslist and CycleTrader), just before we were decided on which ones to go check out in person. I think the color with black and chrome is part of what makes it's looks sharp, and why I'm happy to just ride without doing much else to it! I did remove the saddlebags for now, until we decide to go on a decent road-trip, (finally got to take the wife out on it for a nice spin last Saturday when it it 70F here, and she's in love!). I'm sure I'll find some things to upgrade or tweak the longer I own it. Definitely want to look into a cruise control with the auto-off with brakes feature, as the right hand gets sleepy on long stretches, especially since I have carpal tunnel syndrome to some extent in both wrists! | |

| I had both my wrists sorted some years ago, best thing I ever had done I can tell you! I use a simple thing called a 'cramp buster' which wraps around the throttle tube & rubber grip & grips enough to allow you to loosen your grip & simply rest your hand on it & keep the throttle open! Look for them online, they do work believe me & cost very little really. | |

| Thanks Peter. I saw the cramp-busters online, but wasn't certain how effective they could be, (my old Kawasaki had a flip-switch). I had a hip replaced it 2010, (at the ripe old age of 42! long story), so I haven't been pressing for the wrist surgery, although considered it. At the prices I've seen, the cramp-busters seem like a feasible alternative according to your description, so I'll likely give one a try. | |

| The concept works surprisingly well Barry, you just have to set it 'high' so at the speed you want it to work at means it will be flat under the heel of your hand. I had carpal tunnel work done on both wrists & the only down side to mine was that I experienced some loss of grip for some strange reason? & before Sim & 'Gaylord' chime in, no I am not limp wristed thank you!!! I now have a combination assembly made up of a pair of Chinese grips & a Kutryakyn throttle boss, the largest one they do, & it sits under the heel of my right hand comfortably. I went this route as the cramp buster was too tight on the 1" handlebar Intruder grips which are a lot bigger diameter but I still used the c/b on my enduro bike when I had it on the road till only recently, & it will be going onto my Velocette when that goes back onto the road this year! | |

I put mine in the oven at 200 degrees C ( don't know what "Gas Mark" that is ! ) to fix this and then opened it out so it fit comfortably around the grip. Now fits / works great. | |

| I bought the largest throttle boss as Kuryakyn call it that they make & fitted it to my twistgrip end Mick as I did not like the look of the cramp buster, cost a lot more but looks 100% better | |
