| I am 67 years old and would like to get back on two wheels after a break of several years. I had to give up my last bike(Suzuki V-Strom 650) due to lower back pain and sciatica and I feel a cruiser style bike will better suite my condition. I like the look of the M800 a great looking bike and from the reviews I have seen it has more than enough power for my needs. I will appreciate any advice from forum members and look forward to perhaps meeting up in the Derbyshire Peak District some great roads here. Thanks | |

| Patch! I have a VL800 myself as well as my Velo's. Also have Sciatica & find the seat position to be near as perfect as I've ever had. I had a Pan European ST1300 before & had to get rid as it was crippling me & was not comfy for my wife either but we got on with the cruiser like we'd been riding it for years! I've been to France & quite a few other places on it & wouldn't swap it except for another one exactly the same! BTW I'm in Spondon near Derby myself so not far away! | |

| Welcome patch 101...we have got a lot in common. I am back on two wheels after a long break and I had a Vstrom which I thought was a great bike plus you are just a year older than me. Lots of good info here. | |

| Patch. Hope you find the information you need. Why not try a test ride - \I'm sure you'd be happy with the ride. Hopefully meet up some time in the Peak District. | |

| from me. My last bike was a V-strom and I loved it but, following a knee replacement I found I couldn't ride it without discomfort so it had to go. I now have a C800C and it is Sooooooo comfortable. 67, a mere youngster | |

| Welcome on board Patch. I swapped from an 1100 Katana due to back & shoulder problems - the VL is so much more comfortable - even better when I fitted flat drag bars | |

| Patch! I'm 48 now, but had a full left hip replacement when I was 42 due to a condition known as AVN, and also have lower disc problems in my back from arthritis, and I have to say the cruiser style has still been easy to ride and comfortable with all this going on. Enjoy your new two-wheel adventures! | |
