| Hi all!
Suzuki M50 is my first chopper and I must say it's nice. Before that I have had a few motorbikes but never chopper. My opinion is brakes on M50 are sucks. A few times in the middle of the braking was happend that front tire - brake was blocked :-(. Thanks god was motorcycle in straight position and nothing was happened. So, the problem is how to stop a huge mass. Is there anybody heard or read that someone replace rear drum with disc and make integrated brakes (both brakes braking when you squeeze front brake)? Any suggestions? | |

| Zoki5 and Sounds like a very involving project you want to complete there, especially replacing the rear drum with a disc. Also, I take it you wish to link the brakes Honda style ( rear brake lever also operates front ) ? Problem with that on the Intruder is that there's only one disk at the front whereas the Honda system operates only one of the front two discs, leaving the other to work from the front brake lever. I think your idea would be a little too ambitious to be honest. but I'll leave it to the more mechanically minded guys on here to discuss fully with you ( Simbo, Mr Intruder, Old Man Yam, Peardrop etc ). | |

| I think you will need to put your question about brakes in the wheel, tyres and brake section, before you get many answers. Otherwise your query may go unanswered by those who may have some useful information for you. I hope this helps you. | |
